Numerically Controlled Milling Machine

The EECS Workshop has a TM-2P milling machine and a modular mini milling machine from Hass capable of machining contoured irregular shapes and profiles.

Mini-mill

Both the machines offer the following features:

Workshop View3-axis, 3D capable milling machine

• 10 tools armless type Automatic Tool Changer (ATC)
• Maximum working parameters :

TM-2P: X 1016 mm | Y 406 mm| Z 406 mm (Spindle nose to table: 508 mm max| 102 mm min)

MINI MILL: X 406 mm | Y 305 mm| Z 254 mm (Spindle nose to table: 356 mm| 102 mm min)

• Extremely rigid cast construction
• High precision feed device
• Digital AC servo driver and motor
• Chip tray, coolant system, halogen lamp and other accessories
• PC-based conversational controller:

• Friendly graphic user interface (GUI)
• Easy programming
• Almost 100% compatibility with standard G-code
• Communication via COM or Ethernet with external CAM software, e.g. MasterCAM
